Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institutes on Aging (NIA), intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a non competitive basis in additions this acquisition will be conducted under Simplified Acquisition procedures using Far subpart 13.5 ? Test Program for certain commercial Items in conjunction with Far part 12. to GE Healthcare Biosciences, PO Box 1327, 800 Centennial Ave., Piscataway, NJ 08854. 1. The contractor shall provide a Typhoon, 9410 Workstation. 2. The Workstation shall have the following: Typhoon 9410 Scanner, 7 Standard emission filters (526SP, 520BP340, 555DF20, 580DF30, 610DF30. 670DF30), 7 user selectable pixel sizes (10, 25, 50, 100,200, 500, 1000 microns), 3 laser lines for excitation (488, 532, 633 nm), Scanner control software (Windows XP), Single PC License for Image Quant TL software, User Guide, Flourescence Imaging Technical Manual, Microarray slide tray (2 slides), Dell Optiplex series PC running Windows XP (latest specifications can be found at www.gehealthcare.com/lifesciences)). 3. The Typhoon 9410 Workstation shall have both the breadth of scanning lasers and also the high resolution (10 microns) required to accurately perform proteomic analysis and also measure protein expression alteration on modern protein microarray technologies. It is the Government?s belief that the above requirement can only be met by GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the composed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
