- Description
- This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service, Northwest Fisheries Science Center, located in Seattle, WA has a requirement for a contractor to undertake laboratory experiments to determine the relative capacity for toxin accumulation under controlled conditions of selected bivalve species and the effects of toxins on survival. The intended acquisition is for services for which the Government intends to acquire from one source under the authority of 41 USC 253 (c) (1), Only One Responsible Source. The government identified National Research Council of Canada as the only source who can complete work under proposed contract, this is an ongoing collaborative effort between NWFSC Marine Biotoxins Program and the National Research Council of Canada. The government reserves the right to solicit bids based on the receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an order to National Research Council of Canada without further notice. A firm fixed price purchase order will be issued with start date of Sept 30, 2006 and end date of September 30, 2007. This may represent the only official notice. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.00. ****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) and complete online Representations and Certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov.
