- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP). All correspondence shall reference number W912NR-06-Q-0001. This solicitation document and incorporated provis ions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-11. This procurement is unrestricted. Reference Sources Sought Notice dated July 20th, 2006, issued by the United States Property and Fiscal Office for Louisiana. ITEM DESCRIPT ION: Forty (40) each Avionics Radio Cable Assemblies that meet the following criteria: Heavy duty cable assemblies that have the capability to connect an aviation level helmet kit to both the aircraft intercom connection and a Motorola JEDI series portable radio; fully repairable. It shall include the following: a slide switch that provides a lock position for aircraft intercom, momentary for portable PTT, coil cord terminated with military style four conduction Nexus connector to interface to a/c intercom , coil cord terminated with Motorola JEDI series portable radio adapter, and a straight cable terminated with female four conductor Nexus connector. DELIVERY: The cable assemblies must be delivered within ten (10) days of contract award as they are needed for aircraft communications in preparation of a storm or other emergency. The North American Industry Classification System code for this procurement is 334290. Proposals will be evaluated on the following factors: cost and capability to meet delivery time .
