This is a SYNOPSIS FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes notice of a Request for Quotes and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WHICH IS AVAILABLE Number Q5281060125 at web site http://IDEASec.nbc.gov and will be awarded as a firm fixed price order for Commercial Items using simplified acquistion procedures. The date and time for receipt of offers is August 16, 2006 at 3:00 PM. The NAICS code is 332321, the size standard is 500 employees. Vendor to furnish and install accordian type hurricane shutters on the Headquarters Building. The building is a one story CMU/stucco covered structure. Windows are wood casement. Shutters shall be Dade County approved. Manufacturer shall have a current Product control number from the Building Code Compliance Office. Accordians shall be anodized bronze in color. Total 64 window openings as follows: Line Item 0001AA 72inchx76 inch quantity 32 each, Line Item 0001AB 48 inchx76inch quantity 20 each, Line ITem 0001AC 22 1/2inchx76inch quantity 5 each, Line Item 0001AD 96inchx76inch quantity 3 each, Line 0001AE 76 inchx82inch quantity 3 each, Line ITem 0001AF 36inchx76inch quantity 1 each.
