Description
USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) proposes to issue a sole source award to Dynatest Consulting, Inc., 13953 US Highway 301 South, Starke, FL 32091. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to pe rform nondestructive testing (NDT) pavement evaluation test using a Model 8000 heavy weight deflectometer (HWD) beginning on August 14, 2006 and ending on September 10, 2006 at the following eight Army Airfields located in Germany: (1) GRAFENWOEHR - Grafen woehr, GE, (2) GIEBELSTADT - Giebelstadt, GE, (3) COLEMAN - Coleman Bks., GE, (4) HANAU - Fliegerhorst Kas., GE, (5) ILLESHEIM - Storck Bks., GE, (6) ANSBACH - Kitterbach Bks., GE, (7) HOHENFELS - Hohenfels (CMTC), (8) WIESBADEN - Wiesbaden, GE. The testi ng will be directed by personnel from ERDC Vicksburg, MS. The following list identifies specific requirements for the testing: (1) The NDT device shall be a Dynatest HWD capable of producing a target load of 50 kips, (2) The 11.8 inch diameter load plate s hall be used for all testing, (3) The device shall contain at least 7 deflection sensors spaced at 1-ft increments from the center of the load plate, (4) For each test location, four drops will be conducted, (5) The target load for the first two drops is 5 0 kips, the target load for the last two drop is 40 kips, (6) ERDC personnel will direct the location for each test and define file names for each series of tests performed, (7) Data shall be provided at the end of each work day to ERDC via USP pen drive, (8) Data shall be in the Dynatest F20 fileformat with US units. A firm-fixed price award will be made utilizing the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Any other responsible source able to provide the services is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 5 days after its publication. This is not a request for quotations and there is no solicitation available at this time.
