Description
Marine Corps Systems Command, PM Training Systems is seeking sources for procurement and installation of pneumatic pistol range target systems at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, CA and Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point NC. The target systems contain 25 targets Cherry Point and 10 targets at Bridgeport. Targets will be emplaced approximately 48 inches on center. The targets must be capable of turning 90 degrees to repeatedly face and face away from the shooter. The target holders must be designed to hold a standard military ?E-type? silhouette (20? x 40?) without modification and be designed using material that will not allow ricochets . The control system must include a removable control box and must include a ?Toughbook? type laptop computer (Mil Std 810F compliant) for automatic operation. The computer must be fully installed with programmable, ?Windows-type? software to operate the targetry according to standard Marine Corps marksmanship standards. The operations system must include an air compressor with dryer package to include: a pressure gauge, regulator, filter, an air-cooled after-cooler, and a desiccant dryer assembly. The Bridgeport installation must include installation of a protective barrier in front of the targets to protect the target mechanism and a small structure to protect the compressor from inclement weather. Ricochet producing target mechanisms must be below the protective barrier in all cases. Both ranges have adequate impact barriers or bullet traps behind the targets. The contract will include removal of existing, obsolete pistol range targetry and equipment. The award will be approximately $50,000 with an anticipated delivery date of 30 days after contract award. The vendor should supply comments to the documents indicating ability to meet specified requirements, specific items requiring clarification for responsive industry proposal, and specified requirements which un-necessarily drive system procurement or lifecycle cost. Received comments will be considered by the Government for basis of modification to the subject documents. Comments will not be directly responded to but may be addressed collectively at a future date during or prior to solicitation. Any information provided to the Government in response to this RFI will become USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately. Written response is requested within 15 days after publication of this notice. No phone calls will be accepted
