Description

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract with cost plus fixed fee provisions to D.G. O?Brien, Inc., Seabrook, NH on a sole source basis for engineering and technical services, evaluations, repairs and fabrication of Dip Loop, Mast Connectors and Subsafe Hull Penetrators. D. G. O?Brien, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the Dip Loop/Hull Pen/J-Box, a vital part of the SUBHDR system. The period of performance is five years from date of contract award. This contract will allow for up to 24,167 man hours of engineering support services. Estimated request for proposal release of 2006 AUG 15 or sooner. Any challenges to this sole source action should be brought to the attention of the Contracting Officer. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
