- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, FL 32407 intends to award a Sole Source firm fixed price purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures to Macrolink, Inc., 1500 N. Kellogg Dr, Anaheim, CA 92807 for the following items: Seventeen (17) each MVC/16 16-port Asynchronous 6U VMEbus Serial Communications Controller with data rates from 38.4Kbps (P/N 221200-56); Forty-five (45) each 512 KB SRAM Memory Kit for MVC 16-port configuration (P/N 221020-06) ; Eight (8) each RS-422 4-port serial line conditioning module for the MVC board (P/N 221045-1); Eight (8) each RS-485 4-port serial line conditioning module for the MVC board (P/N 221036-02); Four (4) each 8-port MVCP/MVCQ/MVC Cable for MVCS/16 Serial I/O card (P/N 320271-00); Two (2) each VxWorks 5.4 Drive Kit/License for MVCS/16 Serial I/O card (P/N 455221-30); Two (2) each VxWorks Driver Kit/License for MVCS/16 Serial I/O card (P/N 456001-01); One Hundred Eighty (180) RS-422 4-port serial line conditioning module for the MVC board (P/N 221004-00); One Hundred Eighty (180) RS-485 4-port serial line conditioning module for the MVC board (P/N 221017-00) This purchase is unsuitable for full and open competition for the following reasons. The MVC/16 serial I/O card by Macrolink is currently used in the LCAC CAMS chassis. It has gone end-of-life and will no longer be produced by the vendor. The procurement request for these items is to stock a spare pool for the MVCS/16 generation serial I/O cards for LCAC CAMS. Currently, Macrolink, Inc is the only manufacturer of these specific items that meet form, fit, and function requirements. Award will be based on the written quotation. Delivery would be to the Naval Support Activity Panama City, Receiving Officer, Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City Beach, FL 32407-7018. NAICS code 334111 applies. FSC is 7042. Size Standard is 750 employees.
