- Z ? FIRM FIXED PRICE CONTRACT FOR REPLACEMENT OF MISCELLANEOUS PIPING IN BUILDING H-1, NAVAL HOSPITAL, US NAVAL STATION, GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA. SOLICITATION NUMBER IS N69272-06-R-0018. This RFP replaces N62470-05-B-7303 issued 15-Jul-2005 by ROICC, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba This RFP is being advertised as Unrestricted. The work includes removal and disposal of existing domestic water lines, removal and disposal of existing sanitary lines, installation of new domestic water lines, installation of new sanitary drains, removal and reinstallation of water closets, reconnection to all existing plumbing fixtures, wall finishes, connection to existing water main and incidental related work. The estimated completion is 340 calendar days after award. Award will be made to the offeror whose total price and technical proposal offerors the best value to the government. This procurement will result in the award of a firm fixed-price construction contract. Participation in a Site Visit for this RFP is the responsibility of the offeror and not directly reimbursable by the Government. Each contractor will be evaluated on past performance, past experience in construction and/or demolition work in facilities of this type with emphasis on control of airborne particles and infection control, preliminary work plan, detailed construction schedule and price. Offerors who fail to submit technical and price proposals will not be considered for award. The liquidated damages for this project are $1,000.00 per calendar day of delay. It is desired to issue the RFP on or before 07 Aug 2006. The site visit is expected to be held at US Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba on 16 Aug 2006 at 0900am. The point of contact for the site visit is Joe Delawder. He can be reached at delawderjw@usnbgtmo.navy.mil. You must contact Mr. Delawder and indicate that you will be attending the site visit. If you do not currently have an Area Clearance for Entry, you must request one. You can obtain the necessary paper work required by email Debbie.Thomerson@navy.mil. There are certain restrictions for entrance and only a limited number of airlines that fly into Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The estimated magnitude of the requirement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS Code for this procurement is 237110, Water and Sewer Line and related structures construction. The Size Standard is $31.0 million. Amendments will be posted on the web site for downloading, therefore, IT IS THE OFFERORS RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THIS SOLICITATION.
