Description
Quotes for this solicitation will be due August 28, 2006, 4p.m. EST. All labor will be provided by the contractor under institutional staff supervision and escort. The repairs are to a single level EPDM rubber roofs approximately 14,274 square feet of roof, with 487 linear feet of parapet wall. The repairs are to include but are not to be limited to the re-flashing of twenty one elevated curbs, twenty six pipe penetrations with boots, eight roof drains, and complete the re-stripping in of all field joints. The contractor is to locate and repair leaks over the laundry area, as well as expansion joints and parapet walls as needed. All Federal, State and local construction, safety and labor laws including Davis Bacon Wage Rates are to be strictly abided by during the duration of the project. The removal and disposal of all waste generated by the project is the responsibility of the contractor. A copy of all waste disposal manifests must be provided for review after disposal of any materials deemed hazardous, or having an impact on the environment. A ?Material Safety Data Sheet? for all chemicals must be provided to the facility?s Safety Department before the work begins. All required documentation is to be kept on the work site during a normal work day. Bidders will provide a firm bid on the above specifications of repairs, labor, and materials, and should include all safety documentation, manufacturers warranties and workmanship guarantees within the proposal. A site visit is permissible by request before the proposal deadline. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The solicitation will be available on or after 08/11/06, and will be distributed solely through the General Service's Administration on Federal Business Opportunities web site, http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about his acquisition.
