Description

Sources sought for design, fabrication, and installation of storage racks/shelves for storage of F-16 external fuel tanks. OVERVIEW OF STORAGE RACK DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: (1)Storage capacity for approximately 76 each 370 wing external fuel tanks and 40 each 300 centerline external fuel tanks. (2)Must provide for stable and secure storage of tanks, that will seat tanks such that they will not tip or roll; (3)Must be erected within existing buildings located on site; (4)Must provide for facile means of storing and removing wing tanks from storage racks by either forklift and/or other lifting device; (5)Buildings in which racks/shelves to be installed are three sided structures. Design will provide for enclosing open end of buildings with horizontally sliding steel doors. SITE VISIT WILL BE RECOMMENDED.
