Description
The item to be procured is a Reactive Steel Automated Target System (RSATS), one (1) EACH, using commercial items, for installation and use in Okinawa, Japan. The proposed contract will include option clauses and FOB will be Origin with GBL (Governme nt Bill of Lading). Proposed contract is a 100% small business set-aside. Estimated issue date of solicitation is 28 July 2006, with estimated response time two weeks thereafter. In addition to information provided herein, interested vendors are advised to reference the Sources Sought Synopsis for a Flat, Multi-Lane Quick Reaction Steel Target Range previously posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http://www.fbo.gov under solicitation number W52H09-06-R-0480, hereby incorporat ed by reference. The target apparatuses, as described, shall be installed by the contractor in four (4), 15 foot wide lanes. Each lane shall consist of: five (5), standing apparatuses; three (3), kneeling apparatuses; and two (2), door like apparatuses. Th e lanes will not be separated by any dividers. The apparatuses shall be placed in 10 locations, every four meters (4m), starting at seven meters (7m) from the firing line. If hardwired, the lanes shall contain adequate wiring or pneumatic lines to allow th e targets to be moved the full width of the lane at each 4m placement. The apparatuses shall be strategically placed within a lane so that no 8 circular plate is blocked by another target or apparatus when in the full upright or outright position. No Tech nical Data Package (TDP) will be associated with this solicitation. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with (IAW) FAR 4.502 and 5.102, and therefore, hard copies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation and any amendments will be issued electronically. The Government is under no obligation to mai ntain a bidders mailing list and it is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the SOLINFO internet address to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to do so may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and re sult in the rejection of same.
