Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation; quotes are bein g requested and a more detailed solicitation is available on the FedTeds Web Page at http://www.FedTeds. Hardcopies will not be available. Solicitation Number W912EE-06-T-0043 is being issued as request for quotes (RFQ) with the intent to award as a simpli fied acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-11 Correction. This is an Unrestricted requirement under NAICS Code 532412 (SIC 7359) with annual gross revenue s of $6,500,000.00. The US Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg Mississippi has a requirement for Three (3) Combination Tractor/Scraper Units. The vendor shall provide monthly rental for a 1 month base period and 3 option rental months for 3 combination tract or and tandem scraper units similar or equal to a John Deere 9420 with tandem 17 yard pivot dump scrapers similar and equal to Reynolds 17C12. Equipment offered may be similar or equal to that described as long as equipment performance, horsepower, capacit y, etc. are not compromised. Vendor offering of bids shall constitute that the equipment will be available for delivery by 27 July 2006. Monthly rental rates shall be based on 200 hours usage of each unit per month. Equipment shall be serviced, in good ope rating condition, and ready for work prior to shipment. The vendor shall be responsible for all repairs incurred during normal operations and shall promptly provide replacement machinery, of equal design specification, in the event that repairs cannot be p erformed in the field or require downtime in excess of 3 days. Any downtime due to inoperable equipment shall be added back to the end of the rental period. The government will be responsible for routine daily maintenance as required by the maintenance man uals to maintain the equipment in good working order. All equipment shall be equipped with seat belts, back up alarms, and air conditioned operators cab. Location of work-The equipment will be operated in Le Flore County, Mississippi in the performance of Swan Lake levee repairs. To reach the Refuge take Hwy 61 South from Hollandale, go about 5 miles and take Hwy 436 east, go 6 miles to Bear Garden Road and turn right into refuge, Bear Garden Road will dead end into Refuge Road, go left on Refuge Road and the Refuge Office will be about ? mile on your right. All turns are marked with brown road signs directing you toward the refuge. A county map is attached as reference to this specification. Delivery.- The equipment will be transported to the work site an d returned to the vendors facility by the vendors personnel. In the event equipment must be replaced due to equipment failure, the vendor shall be responsible for providing transport of the failed equipment and transport of the replacement.
