- PORTABLE CHEMICAL AGENT DETECTOR, Three (3) Each 1) This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. 2) Purchase Request F1C3466089A200 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). 3) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAR Circular 2005-11 and Class Deviation 2005-o0001. 4) The solicitation is set aside 100% for Small Business. The NAICS Code is 333999; Size Standard: 500. 5) DESCRIPTION: Portable Chemical Agent Detector. Must have the following abilities: Detects chemical warfare agents, gamma radiation and civilian threats. Provides agent identification. Powered by commercial akaline or rechargeable batteries. Selectable operating modes. Remote communication of alarm signals via radio frequency. Data logging function. Easy to read visual display and audio alarm. Chemical agents detected include GA, GB, GD, VX, and Lewsite. Irritants detected include Pepper Spray and Mace. Sensitivity: Agent V, 4 ppb Detection Level, 30 seconds Time to Alarm. Agent G, 15 ppb Detection Level, 30 seconds Time to Alarm. Agent H, 300 ppb Detection Level, 15 seconds Time to Alarm. Agent L, 200 ppb Detection Level, 15 seconds Time to Alarm. Radiation detection from 1 mr/hr to 999 R/hr. Self test BIT for electronic, pneumatic and power conditions. Operator service 5 minutes per 24 hours of operation. Operation temperature ?22 to +126F. Storage temperature ?80 to +160F. 6) Specifications are listed in item 5. 7) DELIVERY: FOB ANDERSEN AFB, GUAM, requested delivery 15 AUG 2006. 8)FAR 52.212-1-Instruction to Offerors, applies to this solicitation. 9) This solicitation incorporates 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items. Award will be base upon lowest price/technically acceptable offer.
