Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Quinault National Fish Hatchery needs nine (9) fiberglass rearing tanks which will be installed on the south side of the present nursery building. Mass marking projets require temporary holding tanks to verify tagging efficacy. The new tanks need a similar design to the ones currently in the hatchery building. The construction material should be smooth, non-porous, low maintenance and not require painting on both / either the inside and outside surfaces. Past performance using tanks constructed of plastic / fiberglass have met expectations for durability, rearing healthy fish and ease of maintenance. A Forest green color is preferred. This will be a "best value" procurement with award based on technical capability of the item offered to meet the government's requirement, past performance/experience with similar requirements and price. Technical capability, past performance/experience, when combined, are significantly more important than price.
