- The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for Hotel Accommodations located in the geographic area of Baltimore, MD. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefit Administration, Office of Employee Development and Training will be conducting Introduction to Leadership Course on September 10-22, 2006, at the Veterans Benefit Academy, 31 Hopkins Plaza, G-7 Fallon Federal Building, Baltimore, MD. The breakdown for hotel accommodations are as follows; Daily breakdown Sunday 9/10/06 54 rooms; Monday 9/11/06 57 rooms; Tuesday 9/12/06 57 rooms; Wednesday 9/13/06 57 rooms; Thursday 9/14/06 55 rooms; Friday 9/15/06 52 rooms; Saturday 9/16/06 52 rooms; Sunday 9/17/06 55 rooms; Monday 9/18/06 57 rooms; Tuesday 9/19/06 59 rooms; Wednesday 9/20/06 55 rooms; Thursday 9/21/06 55 rooms and Friday 9/22/06 check out. Based on the breakdown described, the total rooms requested are 666 each. All rooms must be individual /private sleeping rooms with toilet facilities smoke free and at government per diem rate for Baltimore, MD. Additional requirements for the hotel rooms must include at least two of the following microwave, refrigerators; and or coffee-maker; restaurant on premises; within 5 blocks of the training site; provide shuttle service to and from the training site; fitness center and be in compliance with The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Department of Veterans Affairs is a federal agency and therefore is exempt from any taxes. The tax exemption document will be provided upon contract award. The specific instructions contained herein are intended to serve as guideline for the preparation of the quotation. In developing the quotation, the Contractor shall comply with the requirements stated in the description. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO AWARD WITHOUT DISCUSSIONS. Therefore, each contractor is urged to examine this request for quote in its entirety and to ensure that their quote contains all necessary information, provides all required documentation, and is complete in all! aspects . This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
