Description
Medical Supplies - Potential Sources Sought Military Hospitals: (Army, Navy, Air Force) Southwest Region O.R. DRAPES & GOWNS: Standardization Point of Contact: Cindy Ingrao, Clinical Consultant, Tri-Service Regional Business Office, Southwest Region, San Diego, CA. Telephone: (619) 532-8517. Potential sources sought to participate in the regional standardization of O.R. Drapes and Gowns. Southwest Region, a military integrated delivery network (IDN), comprised of Army, Navy and Air Force medical treatment centers in California are in the process of standardizing O.R. Drapes and Gowns. If your company currently holds or is in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) with the Defense Supply Center-Philadelphia (DSCP) on O.R. Drapes and Gowns, your company is eligible to participate in the standardization process. If your company is not a current DAPA holder for this product line, you are still eligible to participate in the standardization process by contacting the Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia (DSCP), Kim Nichols at 215-737-8740 or email at kim.nichols@dla.mil to apply for a DAPA. Your company can be considered once DAPA paperwork is pending at DSCP. Please respond by Email: cingrao@nmcsd.med.navy.mil and provide your company name, address, point of contact, telephone, fax and E-mail address and answers to the below listed questions no later than August 2, 2006. For questions, please call (619) 532-8517. 1.Does your company manufacture a full line of sterile surgical drapes and gowns for all types of surgical procedures? 2.Are your products available through the Prime Vendor, Cardinal Health? 3.What is your DAPA Number? 4.Under what standards are your products manufactured? 5.Do your products meet the National Fire Protection Agency?s standard for flammability of clothing textiles? 6.Do your products meet the AORN standards for use and selection of barrier materials? 7.Under what brands does your company manufacture or distribute your products? 8.What types and sizes of surgical drapes does your company offer? 9.What types and sizes, including lengths, of surgical gowns does your company offer? 10.What materials are your drapes and gowns available? 11.Are your drapes and gowns free of latex and toxic materials? 12.Are your drapes and gowns low lint? 13.Do your drapes and gowns have barrier protection against particulate matter and fluids? Is this barrier protection dependent on the number of layers the fabric has? If so, list the levels of protection. 14.Are your drapes and gowns made of a breathable and lightweight material? 15.What makes your drapes and gowns durable? 16.Are the impervious regions of your drapes and gowns labeled or indicated in some way on the item? What is the method of labeling or indication? 17.Are your drapes and gowns packaged with labeling that clearly identifies the expiration date? 18.How do your gowns secure? 19.What type of cuffs do your gowns have? 20.What type of neckline do your gowns have? 21.Do your drapes have instrument pads with a non-slip surface? 22.Are your drapes labeled/printed with the directions of placement? 23.What type of adhesive does your company use for the incision areas of your drapes? 24.Does your company provide customer service 24 hours a day and 7 days a week? If not, what are your customer service and availability hours? 25.What types of educational tools or materials do you have for this product line? 26.What kind of staff training does your company provide? 27.
