- Notice of intent to award a sole source interim contract to the previous incumbent, Holiday Moving and Storage Co Inc (Schedule I, II, III) for packing and crating services for Fort Bliss, Texas. The contract is for providing packing, crating and co ntainerization of household goods through the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) and local moves. Services include packing, containerization, local drayage, delivery, unpacking, storage, and related services. This procurement is being conducted under FAR 6. 302-1, for Other than Full and Open Competition and FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Competitive bidding for the follow-on contract would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency requirements and therefore the required services are available from only one source. The previous contract expired 30 June 2006 and the interim period of performance will begin no later than 14 July 2006 and end 30 September 2006. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. This is a notice of intent to place a requirements contract with the previous incumbent Holiday Moving and Storage, for a short term until the competitive award is made. The interim contract will conti nue the services until an award is made from the competitive Request for Proposal, announcement to be published shortly on FedBizOpps. A determination not to compete the proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Governme nt.
