Description

By way of this announcement, the USACE-Chicago District, issues this Pre-solicitation Notice for its Floodwall 37 Project at Palatine Road (Des Plaines River) in Mount Prospect, Illinois. The Contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, labor, material and supplies required for the construction of approximately 1,400 lineal feet of floodwall and one sewer outlet closure structure. Note: The Floodwall will run along the proposed off-ramp from Palatine Road Expressway to Frontag e Road. The estimated cost for construction is between $1 Million and $5 Million. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 237990, with a business size in dollars of $31.0 Million. THE SOLICITATION FOR THI S PROCUREMENT WILL BE ADVERTISED AS UNRESTRICTED TO BUSINESS SIZE. The Government intends to award a FIRM-FIXED-PRICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT from this procurement. The Invitation For Bids (IFB) Package will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The IFB w ill be in a Portable Document File (PDF) and will be downloadable from the following Internet Site: https://www.fedteds.gov/fedteds/start.nsf/frm.vendorlogin?openform&SolicitationNumber=W912P6-06-B-0007. The estimated date by which the IFB will be availabl e is 1 August 2006, with an estimated due date for bids of 8 September 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.
