- Description
- The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency/Missile & Space Intelligence Center (DIA/MSIC), Building 4545, Fowler Road, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5500 intends to issue a small purchase order to Auburn University, 211 Aerospace Engineering Building, Auburn University, AL 36849. The effort is to provide technical information and evaluation of foreign research and development of micro-electro-mechanical (MEMS) technology. This will be a level-of-effort purchase order not to exceed $50,000 for a period of performance of 6 months from date of award. The contractor shall provide information on and evaluate military critical foreign research and development of MEMS technology in the following areas: (1) Inertial instruments (accelerometers, gyroscopes) achieving tactical performance levels and requiring little or no recalibration during missile flight; (2) Massively redundant sensor systems (wireless)/integrated sensor systems for detection and identification of ground targets; (3) RF switches, delay lines and filters operating at frequencies nominally associated with ground defense radars; (4) Power scavenging systems for mssiles in flight; (5) Active radar elements and/or arrays; (6) Advanced vibration/shock isolation and humidity control/environmentally survivable for military missions; (7) Devices, systems or concepts for electronics tampering or anti-tampering; (8) Provide both hard copy and CD-ROM of a final technical report (in MicroSoft Word format) on foreign research and development of military critical MEMS technology as required in items (1) through (7) above.
