Description

This contract contains earthmoving and structural removal for the installation of 2 (two) dikes and 10 (ten) water control structures at (7) seven sites for the Coxe WRP Restoration Project in Darlington County, South Carolina. Major items of work include an estimated 2200 cu yds of earth fill; 23 cu yds of concrete, 2,760 sq yds of geotextile, 885 tons of rock riprap, 46 geocells, and 214 tons of rockfill for the installation of water control structures. The project also includes the installation 4 ??? 60 inch diameter flashboard risers, three at 7 feet long and, one at 8 feet long; 5 barrel pipes - three at 48 inches in diameter and 60 feet long; one at 36 inches in diameter and 60 feet long; and one at 24 inches in diameter and 40 feet long. Performance time is 71 calendar days (including mobilization). The estimated price is in the range of $100,000 to $250,000. This solicitation is subject to full and open competition with a price preference for qualifying small, disadvantaged businesses and small, HUB Zone businesses. The NAICS code for this project is 237990. This solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about July 17, 2006. Interested parties are invited to attend a site showing at 1515 Mont Clare Road in Darlington, South Carolina on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Anyone needing specific instructions may call Wayne Cowell at (843) 393-0483, Ext. 3.
