- Description
- The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service (PBS), intends to make an award under Commercial Items, FAR Part 12 to Torto Wheaton Research under the authority of FAR 6.302- 1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement will provide information and analysis indicating the historic, current, and anticipated supply of and demand for real estate assets that may be appropriate for use by PBS customer agencies. The PBS Office of Real Property Asset Management requires this comprehensive economic data in order to assess and forecast real market conditions in 50 major Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA's) nationwide. The procurement of this data is necessary to inform PBS investment/disinvestment decisions affecting revenue, acquisition, use, repair, alteration and disposal of both owned and leased buildings. The subscription is for one year. The proposed contract is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. The NAICS code is 531320. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will consider all responses received by 12:00 p.m. est., Wednesday, July 14, 2006. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
