- Question and answers for Solicitation 06MSD7184: THIS SOLICITATION IS FOR A VIDEO PRODUCTION CREW FOR A SURVEILLANCE TRAINING VIDEO (FOR CLASSROOM TRAINING) TO BE DONE IN JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA (JULY 17 ? 21, 2006) AND AT THE FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING CENTER IN BRUNSWICK, GEORGIA (JULY 26 ? 28, 2006). QUOTES PROVIDED MUST BE FIRM-FIXED PRICE. Question 1: Are these positions subject to a DOL Wage Determination? Answer: NO Question 2: What type of video production equipment will be provided by the Government? Answer: SONY DIGIBETA CAMERA, DIGIBETA TAPE STOCK AND STANDARD FIELD PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT INCLUDING A GRIP TRUCK: CAMERA, TRIPOD, LIGHTS, C-STANDS, EXPENDABLES, JIB ARM, DOLLY AND TRACK, ETC. Question 3: What audio equipment is required? Answer: CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE PORTABLE FIELD MIXER CARRIED ON THE BODY, WIRELESS MICROPHONES, BOOM, WINDSCREEN, SHOTGUN MICROPHONES, ALL CABLES AND ACCESSORIES NECESSARY FOR PROFESSIONAL QUALITY FIELD RECORDING OF DIALOGUE AND NATURAL SOUNDS. Question 4: Is a list of locations available? Answer: SPECIFIC STREETS AND LOCATIONS HAVE NOT BEEN DETERMINED. GENERAL LOCATIONS ARE A RESIDENTIAL STREET, DOWNTOWN JACKSONVILLE AND HIGHWAY 9-A. Question 5: Does craft services mean lunch or should budget include lunch catering and additional craft services? Answer: LUNCH AND CRAFT SERVICES. Question 6: Does the solicitation require lunch for 107 people each day while shooting in Jacksonville? Answer: A TOTAL OF 107 LUNCH MEALS NEED TO BE PROVIDED OVER THE COURSE OF THE 5 DAY JACKSONVILLE SHOOT. Question 7: Is the crew responsible for bringing equipment? Answer: GOVERNMENT WILL PROVIDE ALL EQUIPMENT EXCEPT FIELD SOUND RECORDING EQUIPMENT. Question 8: I am assuming that the Jacksonville portion will be of a dramatic nature while the FLETC portion will be more explanatory. Is this correct? Answer: ACTORS WILL BE USED ON ALL DAYS. 5 ACTORS WILL HAVE SPEAKING ROLES. THE GOVERNMENT WILL PROVIDE ACTORS FOR THE 8TH AND FINAL DAY OF FILMING AT THE FLETC. ALL PROPS EXCEPT COSTUMES WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE GOVERNMENT. Question 9: Will the DP and LPM have the opportunity to meet/talk with the Producer prior to 17 July? Answer: YES. Question 10: Do I need to include the cost of the JSO Officers in my bid and is there a contact at JSO? Answer: YES. THAT INFORMATION CAN BE GATHERED FROM THE JACKSONVILLE FILM COMMISSION. THERE IS AN INTERNET SITE WITH CONTACT INFORMATION. Question 11: What are the expected Deliverables? Answer: THEY ARE LISTED IN THE SOW UNDER CREW REQUIREMENTS AND SERVICES. Question 12: Is the solicitation to include Post Production or music? Answer: NO Question 13: How long is the final product going to be? Answer: APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES. Question 14: Will the deliverable be DVD, Compressed file or other? Answer: DVD. Question 15: Do you want a finished interactive DVD? Answer: NO. Question 16: Will the FLETC provide their own Producer? Who will make final decision about shoot locations? Answer: YES, THE PRODUCER WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE GOVERNMENT AND WILL MAKE THE FINAL DECISION FOR SHOOT LOCATIONS. A SHOOT SCHEDULE IS BEING DEVELOPED AND WILL BE PROVIDED TO THE WINNING BIDDER. A SHOOTING SCRIPT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED AND BROKEN DOWN. RESERVATIONS FOR TIME AND LOCATION FOR THE SHOOT WILL BE ARRANGED BY THE CONTRACTOR AFTER AWARD. ALL PERMITS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNING BIDDER. Question 17: Are there any dietary restrictions? Answer: NO, JUST HEALTHY. Question 18: Are there variances in the meals provided. Answer: YES, DAYS WILL VARY FOR CAST. Question 19: Will contracted craft services also be required to supply water; cold drinks and snacks for cast and crew members? Answer: YES, CRAFT SERVICES INCLUDES STANDARD CRAFT SERVICES KIT AND PROVIDER. A CRAFT SERVICE AREA WILL BE IMPROVISED ON LOCATION EVERY DAY. A SMALL PORTABLE TENT IS REQUIRED FOR SCREENING THE AREA.
