Description

Notice of Intent: The Bureau of Reclamation intends to award to Great West Drilling Ltd, 9431 Resenda Avenue, Fontana, CA 92335-2543, a requirement to coordinate several groups to complete the following tasks: (a) Becker Penetration Tests (BPT) with Pile Driving Analysis (PDA); (b) Friction pullback testing of selected intervals in BPT holes; (c) Perform Case Pile Wave Analysis Program (CAPWAP) analysis, using recorded PDA data from each BPT borehole sounding; and (d) Provide Becker soil sampling. Reclamation has identified Great West Drilling, Ltd. as the sole source capable of providing the services and specialized equipment required by Reclamation for the Phase Two (2) Becker Investigations at Reclamation's facility in Southwest Colorado. Reclamation Wishes to continue using the same equipment/contractor so as not to disrupt the continuity of the process and avoid questions in the outcome due to different equipment and/or personnel. This procurement will be conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedure (SAP) and will be a total small business set-aside. However, any firm that believes it can furnish the items described above is encouraged to give written notification to the Contracting officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished, in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firm's ability to comply with all of the above requirements, and should include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number (DUNS) and Tax Identification NUmber (TIN). This is a Notice of Intent only, and not a request for a Quotation or an announcement of a solicitation. The Government will not pay for any materials furnished in response to this synopsis. Submittals furnished will not be returned to the sender. All responses received within 5 days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses should include the firm's business size [e.g. small business or other than small business] in accordance with the size standard of 500 employees for North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 212321. This notice may represent the only official notice of the proposed contract action, prior to the solicitation.
