- Airborne Network Technology Review Days Announcing the 2nd Annual "Airborne Network Technology Review Days" to be conducted at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Utica, New York on 1 - 3 August 2006; hosted by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Rome, NY and the Air Force Communications Agency (AFCA), Scott AFB, IL, with the administrative support of the Erie Canal Chapter (NY) of AFCEA. The objective of the Review Days is to provide a forum for industry and academia to discuss with government representatives the technologies required for formulation of the deployable airborne network(s). These Review Days will highlight approaches and current plans by the DoD to deploy airborne networks, with special emphasis this year on Enterprise Management, Network Operations, and Information Assurance. Participants will have the opportunity to engage government leaders, researchers and scientists on approaches to solving the obstacles of networking airborne assets, review technology demonstrations, and discuss various experiments and practices. This year's Review Days feature: a) Keynote addresses from the AF Chief of Warfighting Integration, LtGen Michael Peterson, and the AF Chief Scientist, Dr. Mark Lewis, b) overviews and technology briefs from the Military Services and OSD on their perspectives for implementing airborne networking, c) technology presentations from non-military government researchers, to include DARPA, NASA, & FAA and d) two Technology Panel sessions focused on technology challenges and gaps. Posters and demonstrations highlighting some of AFRL and AFCA's current technology developments will be available. Additional Review Days details are available at: https://extranet.rl.af.mil/programs/ant/ Unfortunately, we request that organizational participation at the Review Days be limited to a maximum of two (2) individuals per organizational location as the total attendance will be limited to 300 persons. Clearances are not required and all discussions will be unclassified. Note: this is NOT a "bidder's conference" and this announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind. The government will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by an offeror for travel expenses, presentations, marketing efforts or data offered for examination; therefore the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the government. Registration is available now through https://extranet.rl.af.mil/programs/ant/. The Registration Fees are as follows: Early Bird (received before 21 July 2006) $300.00; 21 July to 30 July 2006, $375.00; Payment for registration at the Door is $425.00. Registration Fee includes conference costs, three days of continental breakfast, two lunches, plus other refreshments each day, handout materials, and the Conference Banquet on the evening of August 1st, 2006. Parking at the Radisson Garage is free to conference participants. NOTICE; since attendance at the conference is limited to 300 attendees, only the first 300 paid registrations will be accepted.
