- JDRP-CC-C-CE 23 June 2006 UNCLASSIFIED ANNOUNCEMENT Requisition Number: HF1026-6136-0001-000 Notice of Intent to Award The Contracting Center of Excellence (ACA) is seeking to award a FFP contract on behalf of the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), DoD Office of Administration Management with specific needs for OIG users to send and receive digital encrypted email, dig itally sign documents, access DoD secure web sites and PKE applications. This Special Notice is to publicly announce this procurement which is in accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(2)---Dissemination of Information. Please include the following information with your qoute: Cage Code Tax Id Number DUNS Number Veritas Upgrade and Extended Support Schedule of Supplies/Services SECTION C-DESCRIPTION C.1 Background The Office of the Inspector General (OIG), DoD Office of the Office of Assistant Inspector General for Administration and Management (OAIG-A&M) requires additional software licenses and a maintenance agreement with a base plus two option years for Veritas Upgrade and Extended Support. C.2 Scope of Contract GTSI currently provides Veritas Backup software support for the following two line items: (1) NetBackup DataCenter, Server, HP-UX, v5.0 License tier 2, (1) ea. Extended Support License 4111258, (1) ea. (2) NetBackup DataCenter, Cross Platform, shared storage option, v5.0, License, Extended support, License 4111372 (6) ea. The version of NetBackup (v4.5) currently running on our (2) HP-UX systems will no longer be supported as of July 01, 2006. A software upgrade or cold install of v6.0 is required. An upgrade would require upgrade to v5.0 first, then follow-up with an upg rade to version 6.0. This would increase the length of installation (engagement) support required. It is recommended that a cold install of version 6 be purchased over the upgrade. Additional licenses need to be purchased to allow an installation based on our existing hardware resources. Also, once the following items are purchased, we can request the removal of the line item (2) support above from our existing support contract with GTSI.
