Description

The solicitation number is FA8601-06-T-0105. This is a SOLE SOURCE procurement and the purpose of this solicitation is for information only. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is RC Optical Systems, Flagstaff AZ 86004. The proposed contract is for 2 each 12.5? True Titchey-Chretien Ruggedized Telescope with command center, 100 mm finder scope, tube ring set, riser blocks, dovetail adaptor plates, modified low profile focuser, collimation scope, adapter plate, and ship case. Justification for the Sole Source: The Government requires the unique capability of this specific telescope to allow the required capturing, collimation, and focusing of light to accomplish mission activity. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. There are no attachments to this announcement.
