Description
In a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)/Department of Defense (DOD) joint venture, the Pacific Health Care Collaborative (VA Pacific Island Health Care System (VAPIHCS) and Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC)) seeks to acquire advisory and assistance/consulting services to build upon existing collaborative activities in order to further improve health care services for eligible veterans, active-duty military, dependents, and retirees. The Contractor will be required to deliver two (2) business case analyses/studies that support, enhance, and assess the advantages and disadvantages of using each venture partner?s resources to provide health care to beneficiaries of either Department. In these analyses/studies, the Contractor will review various business practices of both VAPIHCS and TAMC, identify areas in which these practices relate or are related, and compare these practices to those recognized by the health care industry as best practices. The Contractor will document their findings in accordance with objectives set forth by Pacific Health Care Collaborative, and will highlight the areas in which collaboration and/or improvements would result in increased efficiency and cost savings for each venture partner. Upon contract award, the Government and Contractor will work together to develop a Project Management Plan in order to schedule meetings and/or conference calls to assess the contractor?s progress, monitor the Contractor?s performance, and ensure communications flow between all parties involved in these analyses/studies. The requirements of this contract will be divided into multiple tasks with associated deliverables. The contractor?s performance will be evaluated as each deliverable is received by Pacific Health Care Collaborative to ensure that the technical and schedule requirements of the contract are met.
