Description
The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to award a sole source contract to Logistics Health Incorporated (LHI), 1319 Saint Andrew Street, La Crosse, WI 54603-2832. The contract will satisfy the requirements for the Federa l Strategic Health Alliance (FEDS_HEAL) Program, which provides for medical support assessments to the Reserve Component (RC), including the National Guard, in order to help them prepare and meet the medical and dental standards and requirements necessary to maintain a ready and deployable reserve force. The FEDS_HEAL contract will provide the RCs access to a nationwide health care provider network. Services include immunizations, physical examinations, periodic health assessments, dental examinations an d x-rays, dental treatment, laboratory services, force health protection services and other medical services to satisfy medical readiness requirements. The period of performance will be 11-months and the contract will serve as a bridge until a longer te rm competitive contract is awarded. LHI is the incumbent FEDS_HEAL contractor and its current contract expires on 30 September 2006. The longer term competitively awarded contract will have a period of performance of five years (inclusive of options) and should be solicited and awarded during Government Fiscal Year 2007. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. At this time USAMRAA is just interested in responses concerning the 11-month bridge contract. Any firm that believes it can prov ide the services required by the FEDS_HEAL Program under the 11-month bridge contract should submit written notification to the Contract Specialist within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firms ability. Information can be sent to the Contract Specialist at: christopher.sherman@amedd.army.mil. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete t he proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, USAMRAA will proceed with the sole source contract.
