The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about 07/03/2006. The SITE VISIT is scheduled for July 11, 2006, 10:00 am. See below for location. Call 508-349-3785 x225 to register your attendance. The work of this contract includes furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision, and performing all operations required to complete the warranted removals, repairs, and installations of this project. Work of this contract will occur at the Visitor Center for the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park located in New Bedford Massachusetts. The principal features of the work include (but are not necessarily limited to) the following: A. Carpet Replacement:The scope of work for this item involves the removal of existing carpet and all existing padding, repairing and leveling of the existing sub-floor as required and the installation of new reproduction carpet with proper underlayment. B. Removal and Re-installation of Exhibits:The scope of work for this item is not part of this contract, however coordination of this work will need to be considered as part of the project. This Solicitation is issued pursuant to Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is open to all concerns, regardless of size. The NAICS code is 238330. Firms must register in the Central Contractor Registration (http:www.ccr.gov) to be eligible for an award. All work will be performed under a single contract. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price contract will be awarded. The construction estimate is between $25,000.00 and $100,000. PROJECT & SITE VISIT ADDRESS: New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park Visitor Center, 33 William St., New Bedford, MA 02740. Site visit will be in the conference room at the Visitor Center. Contractors must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the solicitation and any possible amendments. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading solicitation and attachments. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the agency.
