Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Optical Technology Division, requires two (2) infrared digital micomirror devices on electronic controller boards. Work under this contract requires an upgrade to two existing 0.7? XGA Digital Micromirror Devices (DMDs) for infrared use. The upgrade includes replacing the glass windows on the two DMD?s with a ZnSe window, thereby producing ZnSe DMDs. These upgraded DMD?s shall then be installed into two NIST owned Discovery 1100 controller boards. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. This requirement is being procured using simplified acquisition procedures under the authority of FAR Parts 12 and 13, under full and open competition. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339111 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ), specifications, any subsequent amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFQ number SB1341-06-Q-0343. The RFQ is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about June 22, 2006, and will only be available via the Internet at the above website. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the RFQ in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order. No written solicitation document is available, telephone requests shall not be honored, and no bidders list shall be maintained.
