- Description
- This requirement is a set-aside for Small Business. The North American Industrial code is 238210, $13.0M. The FAA, New England Region, has a requirement for the upgrade of the MK-1F Instrument Landing System (ILS) to a Mark-20A ILS serving r/w 1R at the Brunswick Naval Air Station (NAS) in Brunswick, ME. The existing MK-1F localizer antenna, glide slope antenna, and equipment shelters will be removed by the Navy prior to the contractor's receipt of Notice to Proceed. The new Localizer and Glide Slope equipment shelters will be Government furnished material (GFM). The project will include all work associated with the layout of the localizer equipment shelter site and the localizer antenna site - all work associated with the layout of the glide slope equipment shelter site and the glide slope tower and antenna work. Work also includes utility locating - excavation - cast in place reinforced concrete - concrete pull box installation - underground electrical conduit/duct bank installation - electrical cable installation - electrical grounding - equipment assembly. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. Performance period is 28 calendar after receipt of Notice to Proceed. A site visit will take place on July 11, 2006 at 10:00 am at the Brunswick Naval Air Station. Estimated price range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Solicitation packages will be available on or about the week of July 3, 2006. Contractors must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a prime contractor in the installation/renovation of FAA navigational aids on active airports. References must be submitted with contractor's offer. There is a $100.00 non-refundable fee for this solicitation package. All checks shall be made payable to the Federal Aviation Administration.
