Description: The U. S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL) proposes to negotiate on a sole source basis, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), with the University of Oklahoma for the installation of IP telephones. The University owns the phone system and requires the use of their system by all tenants in order to maintain continuity. This procurement is being conducted per FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (NTE 100K). No solicitation is planned. This synopsis is issued for information only. Based on the lease agreement between NOAA and the University, the University of Oklahoma is the only source for the phone services. Anticipated award date July 3, 2006.
