- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center/Aircraft Divison Lakehurst is looking to purchase the following: 7 each (3 SERD 0965 & 4 SERD 7219) of Set, Light Source, Borescope, High Intensity; P/N ALS-6250U-USAF or equal; NIIN: 01-318-3712. The V-22 Osprey is a tiltrotor vertical/short takeoff/landing (VSTOL) multimission aircraft. The aircraft is constructed primarily of graphite reinforced composite material. The structure consists of multi-layers of this material made into bulkheads, skin panels, and spars. These structures are ;made into the empennage, fuselage, nacelles and wing. Other assemblies of the aircraft, not made of this material, are the auxiliary power plat, drive system and the power plats. A requirement exist to inspect remote and difficult to access sections of the auxiliary powerplant, empennage, fuselage, nacelles, power plants and wing for corrosion, cracks, delamination, is require. The cargo ramp configuration for the V-22 aircraft is the split ramp concept, consisting of two major subassemblies: the ramp assembly and the door assembly; which consists of two(2) longitudinal side beams, four(4) support frames, a floor assembly, an outer skin panel, and fittings. The frames are at ramp stations (RS) 11.0, 33.0, 53.3 and 85.5. The RS 85.5 frame asembly distributes loads from the ramp floor assembly, skid pads and outer skin panel to the side beams. The frame assembly is mad eof 7050-T7451 aluminum alloy with integrally machined stiffeners. Maximum damage limits of the fram assembly are .01" deep x .25" long x .25" wide. The effects of exceeding thes limits are degraded stuctural integrity of the ramp's structural load carrying capability and increased loading on adjacent frames. The fiber optic illuminator set, p/n ALS-6250U-USAF, provides illumination to a fiberscope that will inspect for corrosion, cracks, and surface damage. The illuminator consists of a 250 watt metal halide arc lamp with thelamp intensisyt diaphragm controlled. The illuminator has forced air cooling to keep the unit cool. the illumination set will be stored and transported in a ;hard customized plastic, foam filled case. Assemble the fiberscope; p/n IF4D5-15 and the borescope defect measurement system; p/n 3091AS100-1 to the fiber optic illuminator set. Open all access holes and slide the fiberscope probe to the part needing inspection. Using the fiber optic illuminator set to provide light, guide the probe to the inspection point. Inspect all surfaces necessary using the proper optical adapter and bending section of the fiberscope. 11.5 x 6 x 12.8 inches; .51 CUFT; 20 WT. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation and constitutes the solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The following information, in addition to the pricing, is required: company name and address, point of contact with phone & fax numbers, size of business, delivery after receipt of order, payment terms, cage code, FOB destination or origin(government prefers destination), Tax ID number and Duns number. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which, if received in a timely manner, shall be considered by the agency. Fax all responses to Debbie Dewyea at 732-323-7192. Closing date is 30 June 2006.
