Description

Project consists of constructing a 445 foot long by six foot high modular block concrete retaining wall with handrail and all backfill grading and compaction work necessary to raise the embankment grade to contract elevations. The work includes mobilization and demobilization, providing structural backfill, gravel behind and below the retaining wall, installing handrail base supports in concrete, laying leveling pad, geogrids and drainage pipe, constructing the retaining wall, backfilling, grading, and compacting of reinforced structural as well as general embankment fill, and topsoil replacement. The estimated magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement is issued unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656, and is NOT set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 238910, Site Preparation Contractors, with a size standard of $13.0 million. Solicitation packages will be available free of charge approximately June 28, 2006, with bid opening occurring on or about July 28, 2006.
