Description

Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 from Sola Communications, 113 Pat Street, Scott, LA, 70583. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Proce dures (SAP)  only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 12. This is for MSU and Jadwin Satellite Communications. Sola Communications meets the security requirements and has the lines in place. To bring in another contractor would mean recertifying a new company, running T1 lines, and completely redo the DISCAP. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities/qualifications to perform the effort i n writing to the identified point of contact no later than 1530 hrs Central Time Zone on 16 June 2006. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive bas is. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the government to: Vergie.L.Hall@mvk02.usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
