Description
SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-06-B-0017 On or about 22 June 2006, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the LIFE SKILLS SUPPORT CENTER REPLACEMENT, PN 58484, PETERSON AFB, COLORADO. The solicitation will close on or about 25 July 2006. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A tentative site visit date has been scheduled for 29 June 2006. Provisions in the solicitation documents will provide detailed information (meeting place, time, points of contact, and access requirements). See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. Project Description: This is a Fully-Designed Project. The work consists of construction of a new single story building, including site improvements, to house the Life Skills Clinic on Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado. The building will be 6,190 gross squa re feet (575 gsm). The exterior of the building will be brick veneer on metal stud walls with a standing seam metal roof. The structure is a steel frame with steel bar joists and a structural steel roof deck. The foundation will be concrete footings with concrete stem walls and a concrete slab on grade. The interior of the building will be completely finished. Interior finishes are as for a standard level professional office building. Furnishings are by separate contract. The building will have complete mechanical, plumbing, electrical and communication systems. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work in 360 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Obtaining Solicitation Documents: This office will no longer send copies via paper or CDS of amendments and solicitations to interested parties. Solicitation documents will be posted on Federal Technical Data Solutions or FedTeDS. FedTeDS is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safe guard acquisition-related information. When solicitation documents have been issued and posted to FedTeDs, synopsis or pre-solicitation notice will be amended and a link provided to access FedTeDS in note 2 below. The process to download from FedTeDS is: 1. Find solicitation announcement in Fed Biz Opps at: www.fbo.gov 2. Once you open the solicitation announcement on Fed Biz Opps, there will be a link provided to the solicitation on FedTeDS. Click on the link. 3. If you are a first time user, you will have to register as described in the information included below; if not log in and open the solicitation. 4. Once you have the solicitation open, you can begin downloading the various files to your location. Please be advised of on-line registration requirement in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database http://www.ccr.gov/ and directed solicitation provisions concerning electronic annual On-line Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at http://orca.b pn.gov. Representations and certifications are required to up dated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective for one year from date of submission or up date to ORCA. Registration instructions can be found on the FedTeDS website at: https://www.fedteds.gov by clicking on the Register with FedTeDS hyperlink. Interested bidders should select the Begin Vendor/Contractor Registration Process option. The information listed below is required to register. 1.
