Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation W912P9-06-T-7075 is issued as a Request-for-Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses. The SIC Code and Small Business Size Standards are as follows: SIC - 3531, size standard - 750. The solicitation documen t and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09, Effective 19 May 06. Solicitation Line Items are as follows: Line Item 0001 - Cargo Deck Crane, 2 1/2 Ton, Hydraulic, Self-Propelled, in accordance with the below listed specifications. Quantities: One (1), Unit of Measure: EACH. OPTIONAL LINE ITEM 0002: Trade-in value for ONE used Broderson Crane, 1984, model IC20-IA, Serial Number 116B, hour meter reading 1114.8 hours (as of April 25, 2006), located at Lock and Dam 27. This item includes pickup and freight of item from Lock and Dam 27. The used crane condition is 'as is' , no repairs or refurbishments will be made, other than required to keep crane operational through delivery of new crane above. (Note: positive value indicates amount the Offeror intends to pay the Government for Trade-in of the crane.) Specifications are as follows: The Governments intent is to purchase two new, unused 2 1/2 ton (5000 pound), self-propelled, hydraulic, industrial cargo deck cranes. Requirements: Nominal lift capacity of 5000 pounds. Nominal pick and carry capacity of 2500 pounds. Width: 4 feet Height: 7 foot, 6 inches, with operator guard installed Length: 9 feet, 1 inch Horizontal reach, measured from the centerline of rotation: 15 feet without jib, 22 feet with jib. Jib shall be provided. Engine: Diesel, water cooled, 4 cylinder, 47 HP, CARB Tier II and EPA Tier II Certified. Hydrostatic Pump: Sunstrand piston type, direct driven from engine crankshaft. The boom assembly shall consist of a hydraulic powered, 90 degree rotating turret, telescoping boom, hydraulic boom elevating cylinder, boom extension cylinders and a hydraulic powered winch. Hydraulic front wheel drive and rear wheel steering. Minimum of three hydraulic outriggers. The chassis shall be equipped with an operator control station. The operator control station shall provide access to all chassis and crane functions. A mounted fire extinguisher shall be accessible from the operator station. The chassis shall be equipped with audible backup alarm, headlights and taillight. The chassis shall be equipped with lifting sling brackets. Auxiliary winch, hydraulic powered, bare-drum line pull of 3000 pounds at 20 feet per minute, with 80 feet of 5/16 inch wire rope, hook and four-way roller guide. Pintle hook, T-60-A Holland 5-ton, mounted on rear frame member. A lifting sling shall be provided. The operator control station shall be equipped with an operator guard. (Broderson Manufacturing Corp., IC-20-IG with optional diesel engine, auxiliary winch, pintle hook, lifting sling, operator guard, and 7 foot pin-on jib) or equal. Please provide your delivery date or timeframe. All deliveries shall be F.O.B. Destination to the following locations: Qty one (1) crane delivered to Locks and Dam 27, 3291 West 20th Street, Granite City, IL 62040-1800, Randy Jones, 618-452-7107. Qty one (1) crane delivered to Melvin Price Locks and Dam, 1 Lock and Dam Way, East Alton, IL 62024, Greg Walgate, 636-899-1543. The following provisions/clauses are applicable to this acquisition and any addenda that may follow : FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror-Commercial Items.
