Description
1. The contractor shall train and equip 40 Iraqi fire fighters in Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) techniques. The training shall be conducted outside of Iraq. The equipment will be delivered to Iraq after completion of the class. 2. The government will ensure that students receiving training will meet established minimum qualification standards by a recognized EOD agency prior attending class. Within thirty (30) calendar days after award the contractor shall provide a course syllabus and course of instruction to the government. 3. The contractor shall provide students a certificate of training issued by a recognized EOD agency as approved by the CPATT MOI-TT Civil Defense Advisors. 4. Students shall be provided training in an academy type atmosphere. Training shall incorporate classroom and practical skills sessions. The training shall test cognitive skills regarding the decision making process in a stressed and non-stressed environment. Training shall include use of specialized equipment and students shall show demonstrated knowledge through hands-on application. Students shall have the thorough understanding of technical rescue and incident command structure. 5. Upon completion of the course, EOD equipment shall be staged within country and dedicated solely to UXO response. Contractor furnished equipment shall consist of: Explosive Ordinance Disposal Suit Ballistic EOD Helmet Bomb Container Hook and Line EOD Kit EOD Operator Tool Kit - SKT-EOD Comprehensive EOD Non-Magnetic Tool Kit ADE 650 Portable Explosives Detector All equipment shall become the property of Iraq MOCD upon completion of the training.
