Description
One U.S.A or foreign flag self sustaining vessel capable of moving 29,700 square feet of various rolling stock, TEUs, and equipment. Minimum speed is 13 knots laden in moderate weather. Vessel shall meet the following requirements: Vessel shall be capable of supporting Reefer TEUs Vessel shall be dangerous goods certified. Cargo contains HAZMAT: Ammo HAZARDOUS classes: 1.1C/D/E, 1.2C, 1.2E, 1.3G, 1.4B/C/G/S. Other hazardous materials and applicable HAZMAT classes include: Internal Combustion Engine 9 Diesel Fuel 3 Fire Extinguisher 2.2 Compressed Gas, Flammable, NOS 2.1 Oxygen, Compressed 2.2 Petroleum Oils 3 Lithium Batteries 9 Ethylene Glycol 9 Batteries, Wet, Non-spillable 8 Rolling stock and diesel storage tanks will be half full. In accordance with the Cargo Preference Act of 1904 and Section IIIA.3 of the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) (see 69 FEDERAL REGISTER 25166-25168, May 5, 2004, or most current reference), preference will be given to U.S. flag vessels and VISA participants. Under the Cargo Preference Act of 1904, any reflagging or repair work to: (1) enable the vessel to meet applicable standards to become a vessel of the United States; or (2) to convert the vessel to a more militarily useful configuration; must be performed in the United States. **PACKING LIST AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST** Offerors may download a copy of the Proforma by going to http://www.msc.navy.mil, under Contracts, then Proforma, or upon request.
