Description

Furnish all labor, supplies, parts, transportation, equipment, and facilities necessary to perform all work required for completion of Project Number FTQW 03-1048 in strict accordance with the Statement of Work and all contract requirements. Work is described by the contract documents, drawings and technical specifications. The work involves replacing the existing cooling pump pond pump house and three pumps at Eielson AFB, Alaska. The general work includes replacing the existing cooling pond pump house, which provides cooling water to the Central Heat and Power Plant (CHPP) condensers. The pump house will be onshore adjacent to the cooling pond with water drawn through an intake pipe. The government will supply the pump motors and provide electrical power to the new pump house. A new 30-inch water line will be constructed from the pump house to the CHPP to provide a redundant cooling water path for added security for plant operations. The Government will construct the 30-inch pipeline from the CHPP to a point approximately 120 feet north of the power plant. This project will provide the continuation of this pipeline to the new pump house. The existing and new 30-inch pipelines and the well water pipelines will be connected and valved to allow cooling water to be provided from either the cooling pond or wells by way of either 30-inch pipeline. The Government will provide the new 30-inch pipeline material. The existing pumping equipment and the pump house will be abandoned in place. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This acquisition is being solicited pursuant to FAR 19.10, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program under the NAICS code 237990. THIS SOLICITATION IS PAPERLESS, SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS AND AMMENDMENTS WILL BE AVAIALBLE ON THE INTERNET AND DRAWINGS WILL BE PROVIDE VIA CD ROM. Award will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract and the total performance period will be approximately 365 days. Note: All contractors must be registered in the Centralized Contractor Registration (CCR) program in order to receive award from a DOD activity. Contractors may access the site at http://www.ccr.gov to register and/or obtain information about the CCR program. The solicitation will be available on or about 8 June 2006.
