Description

Notice of Intent to award Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for Remedy Software license renewal in accordance with FAR part 12 regulations, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The award will go to BMC Software Distribution Inc. of Houston TX 77126-0001. This requirement is considered sole source due to the fact that the BMC software distribution of REMEDY based products provided to the Air Reserve Personnel Center (ARPC) consists of consolidated Services Process Management platform for automating and managing Service Management business processes. The current BMC service has Integrated REMEDY processes with ARPC systems across the IT enterprise. Without this unique full service support from BMC Software Dist Inc., ARPC?s in-house experts will not be able to manage, maintain, or optimize our current set up as customized through BMC professionals with out considerable reprogramming and costly delays in end-user satisfaction. The 460th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a) (2), ?Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.?
