- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a modification to contract N00024-05-C-6327 with Lockheed Martin, Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems & Sensors Electronics Park, Building 6, Room 108, P.O. Box 4840, Syracuse, NY 13221-4840, to procure engineering services for the AN/WLD-1(V)1 Remote Minehunting System (RMS) for the Mine Warfare and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Mission Packages, which supports the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Mission Module Program. Efforts under this modification will include reconfiguring hardware and software components of the RMS to perform ASW operations. Further efforts include fabricating two Remote Towed Active Source (RTAS) prototypes, Towed Array Power Conditioners (TAPCs) and tether cables. Lockheed Martin owns the data rights to the RMS, was the original contractor to develop fabrication drawings for RTAS, and was the original designer of the TAPCs. Therefore, Lockheed Martin is the only contractor who possesses the technical knowledge, data, and necessary resources to perform the work in total described herein as well as adhere to the required timeframe to support the Navy?s needs. All questions and comments shall be directed through electronic mail only to Ms. Kathleen Fenk at Kathleen.fenk@navy.mil. See Numbered Note(s): 22*****
