- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to procure, via contract modification, one (1) Set of parts for testing. The Set will include: P/N 3654AS9722-1, VXI Module, Scanning A/D Converter; 3654AS9220-1, TPS Computer Assembly, SETI2; 3654AS9723-1, VXI Module, V387-ZA11 Digital I/O; 3654AS9724-1, VXI Module, Tachometer; and MAX-IP-200109; ARINC-429 Module. The parts will be used to support testing of the Test Program Set (TPS) while installed in the Shaft Engine Test Instrumentation (SETI) System. EADS is currently under NAVAIR Contract N68335-06-C-0245 to manufacture the Pre-Production TPS that is used in conjuction with the SETI Sytem. The Government plans to solicit and negotiate the procurement with EADS North America, Inc., 4 Goodyear St., Irvine, CA 92618-2002. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only supplier for this requirement, as they are the sole source designer, manufacturer, and integrator of the SETI system and associated parts at this time. The drawings and specifications for the SETI System are being developed by EADS under contract N68335-02-C-0005. Upon completion and verification of the drawing package all future procurements for SETI requirements will be conducted utilizing full and open competition. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. NAWCADLKE intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c ) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
