Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center, Carswell, Fort Worth, Texas intends to issue solicitation RFQ50507-035-06 for the provision of Native American Spiritual Advisor. The contractor shall provide religious instruction and leadership for Native American inmates participating in programs and services offered by the Religious Services Department. The selected contractor must possess, through a combination of education and experience, the ability to lead and instruct the tenants of the Native American faith. The contracting must have excellent inter-personal communication skills. The contractor must possess an ordination certificate or like document showing the contractor is a recognized Spiritual Leader in good standing with the faith community. Must posses an ordination certificate or like document showing the contractor is a recognized and endorsed. It is estimated the contract will include 36 sessions for the base year and 144 sessions for each of the option years. Each session is two (2) hours. The contractor will work approximately three (3) sessions per month. Sessions will be performed at a time mutually agreed upon between the contractor and the Supervisory Chaplain. The contract period shall consist of effective date of award through 12 months from effective date of award and four 12-month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or June 12, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed through the website. The anticipated receipt of quotes is July 14, 2006. The solicitation is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contract for which they are eligible.
