Description

ROADS CONSTRUCTION PROJECT P.I.R. 15(22): The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Western Regional Office, seeks construction firms which can provide all labor, materials, equipment and services for crack cleaning and sealing, miscellaneous pavement milling, hot asphalt-rubber concrete overlay and pavement markings on 15.991 miles of Route 15, Tohono O'odham Nation, Pima and Pinal Counties, Arizona. Bids shall be in conformance with the unit bid schedule. Estimated price range is: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. ISSUE DATE IS O/A 16 JUNE 2006. BID OPENING DATE O/A 18 JULY 2006. THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR 51% INDIAN-OWNED AND CONTROLLED FIRMS UNDER THE "BUY INDIAN ACT." 25 U.S.C. 47, Section 7(b) of P.L. 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 250e) requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaska Native individuals and that preference in award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaska Native economic enterprises. Indian firms bidding under this Act must self-certify they are eligible under the "Buy Indian Act."
