- Description
- This requirement is for three replacement coil bundles for use in the RC1 cooler at Arnold AFB TN. RC1 is a multi-stage refrigerated cooler used to dry air by condensation. It consists of a 40 ft diameter shell with many banks of coil bundles. The coil bundles are finned tube arrangements with distribution headers that receive and return chilled fluids. Air is passed across the finned side and chilled to as low as -30 F condensing water in the process. Glycol/water mix is sprayed on the bundles to eliminate frost. The exterior of the coils shall not be susceptible to corrosion when exposed to Ethylene Glycol, Supercooled HD Glycol, or moist air. The interior of the coils shall not be susceptible to corrosion when exposed to TCE. The fin attachment method should not require solder. The performance period shall be 150 calendar days after contract award. The proposal shall be due 21 calendar days after issuance of the solicitation.
