Description

** This is a pre-solicitation notice only** The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Energy Resources Program, National Oil and Gas Assessment Project (NOGA) has a requirement to archive, document, convert, and generate: 1) Geographic Information System (GIS) products utilizing previously published oil shale reports and information compiled from published and unpublished sources, and 2) state of the art digital products from hard copy data and from data in digital formats that are no longer used. Types of data will include but not limited to well locations (latitude and longitude), fischer assay data, x-ray data, thin section data, photos of coreholes. These products will be prepared for release online in digital form utilizing state of the art GIS technology and be compliant with USGS publication and Federal Geographic Data Committee documentation requirements. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will consist of a one-year base period with four one-year option periods and the resulting contract will be firm fixed price, IDIQ. This requirement is a small business set aside competitive procurement. The solicitation, all related documents and amendments, if any, will only be released and available electronically through the NBC posting system at http://ideasec.nbc.gov/j2ee/login.jsp. As such, no written, telephonic, facsimile or email requests for the solicitation package will be honored. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it is solely the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the NBC website for any solicitation amendments. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer. It is currently estimated that the RFP will be posted on or about June 21, 2006. The RFP will state the actual deadline for the submission of Proposals. ***
