Description

STATEMENT OF WORK (LSRCP/Siding-McCall FH) (PR 1411060116) (June 2, 2006) 1. GENERAL: The scope of this project is to perform the following improvements to a Fish and Wildlife Service, Lower Snake River Compensation Plan Office, McCall Fish Hatchery at 300 Mather Road, McCall, Idaho 83638-1021. The residences are 20+ years old and are in an advance state of decay. Current residences are totally wood sided and are more vulnerable to weathering, resulting in an unacceptable appearance and exposure to the extreme weather conditions experienced at this high altitude hatchery. Desired work is to have a contractor, prep existing siding and soffit to allow for new vinyl to be installed. Synthetic material replacement will significantly reduce annual maintenance costs and improve appearances. Additional information required before initiating work shall be provided by the hatchery manager on request. Any work to be done on the exterior of residences will be the responsibility of the contractor, with power to be maintained to office except as arranged with hatchery manager. 2. DEFINITIONS: Not applicable. 3. SCOPE: The contractor will provide the McCall Fish Hatchery the specified and/or approved criteria for the bidding. The contractor will provide proposals for siding of 3 residences (1352 sq. ft each) in vinyl siding, color to be selected by the hatchery manager from the manufacturer's standard color palette. a) prep existing siding and soffit to allow for new to be installed. b) install vinyl siding starter strip. c) install 1 1/8" "J" channel at top course. d) install 1 1/8" "J" channel around windows and doors. e) install outside corner trim. f) install CraneBoard T6 insulated 4.0 R value vinyl siding. g) install new gable end vents. h) install ?" soffit "J" channel. i) install vented soffit on the eaves. j) install nonvented soffit on the rakes. 4.PLACE/DELIVERY AND PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: All work to be completed within 60 days after issuance of this contract. 5. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE: All work, including clean up, must be completed and inspected to the satisfaction of the hatchery manager/assistant manager prior to payment. 6. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT OR MATERIALS/INFORMATION: Government will provide electrical power to contractor during work activities, restrooms on site will be furnished. Access road must be kept clear to accommodate normal hatchery traffic. 7. AVAILABILITY: Work to be accomplished during 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, unless coordinated with hatchery manager/assistant manager. 8.TECHNICAL COORDINATOR: Gene McPherson, Hatchery Manager or Steve Kammeyer Assistant Hatchery Manager supervisors location that can be contacted regarding technical questions.)
