- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for two(2) each FotoFab photoresist processing machines, one positive and one negative. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Service Support Specialties, Inc. only. The particular features that the S3 FotoFab machines offer are, computer process control through simplified electro pneumatic automation, spin bowl liners, spinning cup, N2/gravity feed automated chemical deposition, EBR, BSR, bowl rinse, hot plate bake/cool, optional manual or computer automated operation, wafer/chuck centering, process bowl and enclosure exhaust, +/-PR compatability/interchangeability, ultrasonic PR spray capable, full user computer programmable recipe based processing, small foot print, and simplified user serviceability. A thorough market survey and analysis of photoresist spinner technology and manufacturers was conducted to identify the ideal product for the application and we found that the only company that could meet our end use requirement was Service Support Specialties. Authority is 10 u.S.C. 2304(c)(1) Only one responsible source. This procurement will be processed using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. DO Rating is DO-C9/ The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited. Interested organizations may submit capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on June 15, 2006. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which slall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
